Dark Days In Nigeria

Yesterday was a black day in Lagos, but we can all agree that it has been all black couple of months, weeks and days in Nigeria. Let’s talk, about action today on #FreestyleFriday

It is only a matter of time before the tanker of frustration falls over and sets this entire nation on fire. Don’t vote for a personality or party. Vote for life, vote for progress, vote for good!

This isn’t God’s punishment for our many sins. God looks down from heaven wondering how a people with the self-same mind as Christ, can have the self-destructive behavior of Satan. We are our own problem. We must end corruption.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it was built at the end of the day. What are we building but an infrastructure made of skulls and bones, skyscrapers of ignorance standing on the foundation of religious and political stupidity.

We bury tragedy after tragedy in the coffin of witty comedy, laughter in our belly like the hangman’s rope. One day it’ll be our skulls that crack the killing joke.

We wear flashy jerseys, scream at the top of our lungs, beat up those supporting the opposing team, put our money where our mouth is with Sports bets but when it comes to national matters; can’t manage anything more than hashtags and WhatsApp stories.
#NTYTR  my foot.

We have become endangered species in our own country due to the lack of necessary policies by those at the top of the food chain. This callousness makes dinosaurs of us all, edging towards extinction.

Now is the time to stand for something. We need to begin building a parallel system that cater to specific development areas in our nation. Christians need to begin to stand for justice, equity, development, good governance etc.

The church should be the locus of leadership. Ours is to empower influencers for a lifetime of adventure in Christ.
