TEXT: Psalm 67:3-7
There is a frequency that is obtainable in heaven (Rev 19:5-7, Luke 2:13-14), it is the frequency of praise & worship. The praise & worship of God will eventually be our eternal assignment when we get there. Jesus operated this frequency of heaven here on earth.
So, when Jesus says, “…repent for the Kingdom of God is here”, He’s literally saying, switch your earthly frequency, heaven’s frequency is here. In Luke 7:11-17, When Jesus’ crowd met this other crowd, there was a frequency change between the two crowds.
Praise is a language of faith and it has nothing to do with happenstances. When we praise God, it’s purely a faith “transaction” in our minds. The Dictionary says “Transaction is the transfer of ownership of something from on person to another for a price” and the Synonyms include: deal, trade, haggle, bargain.
Every act of faith involves some kind of conscious or unconscious transactions inside us. Example of people who transacted in faith include:
- The woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-29)
- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Dan 3:16-18)
Faith explodes in our heart when the transaction concludes in God’s favour (Heb 11:1 AMP). Fear is the result if faith goes the other way. So, when we switch to the frequency of praise and thanksgiving, we leverage on the supernatural; first tension is doused, then there is divine wisdom and power and even authority.
In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas were just worshiping God, they didn’t know they’d stepped on a live wire. They didn’t even know God would step in. They didn’t know they’d switched to the frequency of heaven. They leveraged the supernatural; this is the way to goad Christians. When the supernatural steps into our matter, we call it “Miracle” but for Heaven, it’s normal.
Praise the Lord no matter the situation!!!
When you understand the ways of God, you’re more deliberate about praising Him. You can either do it to wade off Satan or you do it to provoke God into action. The latter is better. You praise God to the size of His capacity. For example, If Baba Adeboye, BIshop Oyedepo or Rev. Sam makes an appearance now, you’d want to show reverence and things around you will become irrelevant. God is a VERY BIG God. The planets are his footstools, the clouds and stars are the dust of His feet; He is the Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
If you’ve ever experienced God step into your matter before (i.e real time), or experienced calmness in the midst of a storm, your praise to the Lord will be different. If God has helped you before, you know what I’m talking about. Remember how he literally brought you out when you were stuck in the miry clay? No wonder David could not get over God (he was brought from the back side of the desert) who gave him victory over Goliath (what if he missed the target?), never lost any battle in his “war-filled” life… David was always in the “Attitude” of praise.
Praise is an attitude. Like the Psalmist said in Psalm 68:4-10, let our praise be unto God. this is the testimony of God’s camp (Psalm 136:10-16). He is the Great God who’s mercy endures forever no matter the situation or circumstances.
