The Testimony Of Jesus

Today and Tomorrow, as we celebrate Christmas, we want to specifically remind us of the lessons of this season.

Matthew wrote, as a Jew to the Jews, about another Jew and continued to make reference to prophecies documented about that Jew; Jesus Christ (Matt 2:6,15,18). In one of those prophecies in Isaiah 9:6, the prophet, Isaiah, prophesied about the dimension of the ministry of Jesus Christ saying “…the Kingdom shall be upon His shoulders”. That prophecy was talking about the invisible kingdom of God. It is both spiritual and political. Though invisible, but it’s supposed to rule over everything. The supernatural rules the physical.

In Ephesians 1:15-23 (MSG), We (believers) are to establish that kingdom here on earth. As God’s Kingdom citizens, we are not designed to function on the fringes of society. We are supposed to function at the centre of the universe.

America acts as if it’s the world’s “big brother” and will do anything to save its citizens. This is however subject to a US citizen understanding that he/she is American. If you don’t know, sorry!

Same rules apply in God’s kingdom. As far as God’s kingdom is concerned, we have been given everything that pertains to life and godliness (see 2 Peter 1:3). How can we be here and the world will not know it?

The birth, death and resurrection of Christ brought two major dividends to mankind, these dividends are:

  1. Redemption; and
  2. Transformation

What do these mean?

Redemption:

  1. the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.
  2. the action of regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange for payment, or clearing a debt.

Is this not liberation or freedom?

Transformation: This is a process by which one figure, expression, or function is converted into another one of similar value. For example; metamorphosis (see 2 Corinthians 3:18). In Matt 5: 14-16, Why did Jesus say “we are the light…”? Or why did He say, “…let your light so shine…”?

Now we are light! In other words, we owe God that responsibility to deliver on the value Jesus placed on our life in the first place. Move from matchstick to floodlight.

So, the ultimate testimony of Jesus is that we all come to the fullness of the stature of Christ… living the extraordinary life as influencers and authourities… our lights shining brighter and brighter to a perfect day.

Because of the testimony of Jesus Christ, there is no other time better than now to be alive and praise the Lord. Our God is greater, stronger and higher than any other. There is no other testimony in all the corners of the universe like His.

Do you have this Great Jesus in your life? He is an essential part of YOUR testimony. Is He YOUR Lord, Lover, Saviour and Best Friend?

If you want to invite Him, please say this very simple prayer and mean it with all your heart; “Lord Jesus, thank you for this opportunity. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour. Take control of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

If you said this prayer, welcome! Heaven rejoices over you! Please email us at prayer@whiteolive.org so we can support your walk with God. We’ll be waiting to hear from you.

Tomorrow, we mark the birth day of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Do have a great celebration with family and friends, but please do not forget the reason for the season!
