In January, I heard voices in my head… Not the ones you think. The ones that say ‘I know I can do all things through Christ’.
In February, I was full of enthusiasm and hope; knowing the year would be full of blessings – ‘How great is our God’.
In March, I hit a brick wall in my career, my finances were a mess and my relationships were strained – Lord, ‘Hold me now’.
In April, I was at the lowest I have ever been. ‘I lifted my eyes to the hills, wondering where my help would come from’.
In May, there was no end in sight. My ego was hurt, my heart broken and my head spinning – I had to say ‘Jesus take the wheels’.
In June, I waited on God for answers to questions that were tearing my family, career and self-worth apart – ‘I’ve had my share of ups and downs’.
In July, my heart sang to God – ‘I will praise you in the storm’. It was obvious my trials were a lesson in patience.
In August, I made a choice to ‘Let praise arise, from the inside of me’. I decided that my life will be a love song to God.
In September, the God that is never late – showed up in my life. My ‘Onise Iyanu’ did exceedingly abundantly above what I was praying for.
In October, I could finally breathe a sigh of relief; the storm had cleared, and God granted me fresh insight and direction. ‘#Olowogbogboro’ turned my life around.
In November, just when I thought it couldn’t get better – guess what? It did! ‘God is not just big, He is not just large, He is a great God’.
In December, I’m a living, breathing, walking, talking, moving miracle! ‘I found my way back to God and His grace through worship.
In 2017 many of us had to dig deep, find our essence in Christ. Relearn that He is the core of our being and that we are created to worship. God broke barriers, upended verdicts, re-engineered businesses, changed governments, moved the heavens and shook the earth – to ensure we thrive. We are women – born of worship, who live by worshiping and grow by staying in the place of worship.
